Kids' Fish O' Rama

The annual Kids' Fish O' Rama is a fishing event for children 12 years of age and under. Prizes for the biggest fish and the most number of fish will be awarded, as well as free hot dogs, pop and ice cream will also be provided. The event runs from noon-1:30pm.

The Hayward Lions Pre-Birkie is a 25 K cross-country race throughout the Hayward area. Prizes are awarded in 25 different classes, and for the top three men and women. This race acts as a qualifying rakes for the American Birkebeiner Race which runs later in the month. The Pre-Birkie race begins at 11am.
